Chat

Chat is the assistant surface for the selected team and brand. It can start from a blank prompt or from guided missions such as competitor analysis, short video ad creation, saved inspiration, and TikTok campaign planning.

Start a mission

Pick a mission card when you want Playad to structure the workflow for you. The prompt box also supports free-form questions, so you can ask for campaign ideas, creative strategy, research, or next steps.

What you can do:

  1. Start a new chat from the left panel.
  2. Reopen recent chat sessions from the history list.
  3. Switch between regular chat history and scheduled sessions.
  4. Use mission cards to start common workflows without writing the whole prompt yourself.
  5. Send a message instantly or use the scheduling mode when the composer supports it.

Review generated work

Chat can return structured research, creative concepts, media grids, and summaries inside the conversation.

Chat research response

Use the recent chat list on the left to reopen previous work. The input at the bottom continues the current thread.

When Chat generates creative concepts, each concept can appear as a selectable result card with a thumbnail, title, media type, and preview action. Selecting a card opens a larger preview on the right side, so you can inspect the creative before saving it or asking for revisions.

Chat creative preview

Generated creative responses can include:

  1. A short explanation of the research or competitor pattern used.
  2. A list of generated concepts.
  3. Selectable image or video result cards.
  4. A right-side media preview with previous, next, download, and close controls.
  5. Suggested next actions, such as saving all concepts as creatives or revising one concept first.

Use the right preview when you need to compare output quality without leaving Chat. Use the suggested follow-up actions when the response already produced assets that should move into Creative Sets.

Save or revise generated concepts

After Chat generates multiple concepts, you can ask it to save the concepts as creatives or revise selected outputs. Use this when a concept is close but needs copy, layout, product framing, market, placement, or brand-tone changes before it becomes part of a Creative Set.

Good follow-up requests include:

  • Save all generated concepts as creatives.
  • Revise the second concept with a stronger offer.
  • Make the copy shorter and more performance-focused.
  • Generate three more options in the same style.
  • Use this concept as the direction for a new Creative Set.

Use Thinking modes

The composer has an Instant mode by default and a Thinking menu for deeper planning. Open the mode selector from the composer when the request needs more analysis before generation.

Chat Thinking modes

Thinking modes include:

  1. Instant for simple edits and quick checks.
  2. Quick for straightforward planning, creation, or lookup.
  3. Standard for balanced planning across most marketing workflows.
  4. Thorough for more careful, evidence-based analysis.
  5. Comprehensive for complex, multi-step strategy.

Use Instant for direct edits and short prompts. Use Thorough or Comprehensive when asking Chat to diagnose performance, compare competitors, build a launch plan, or create a full concept system from multiple inputs.

Use side tools

The right-side tool rail gives quick access to supporting panels for documents, experiments, and learning context.

Chat side tools

Good requests

  • Ask for creative angles for a specific audience, product, or market.
  • Ask how to turn a brand insight into ad concepts.
  • Ask what to check before launching or exporting a Creative Set.
  • Ask for a summary of next steps after reviewing assets or performance.

Connected flows

Brand updates can open Chat with a prepared message, for example when updating a brand URL. Chat can also return creative lists, asset grids, reports, and schedule references that link into other Playad pages.
