Playad lets you generate image and video ad creatives by describing what you need in Chat. Provide your product, audience, message, and placement, and Playad proposes a generation flow you can review, adjust, and run. Finished outputs land in Creations, and the editable pipeline stays in Projects so you can refine or reuse it. No ad account connection is required to start generating creatives.

What you can do

Image and video ad generation

Describe the ad format, product, audience, and placement in Chat. Playad proposes a flow for generating image or video creatives, which you review before running.

Flow review before generation

Before any creative is produced, Chat presents a flow card with a Flow Preview. Open it to inspect the planned steps and request changes to concept, copy, or structure.

Iterative revision in Chat

After reviewing a result, ask Chat to adjust the concept, swap the headline, shorten body copy, or generate additional options. Each revision is a follow-up message in the same conversation.

Flow Editor refinement on desktop

Save the proposed flow to Projects and open it in Flow Editor on desktop to edit the generation pipeline directly. Flow Editor is only available on desktop.

Creations inventory

Generated images and videos are stored in Creations under the same team and brand. Use the Type and Source filters to locate results, preview them, and download finished files.

Reusable flow projects

A saved flow in Projects acts as a reusable generation pipeline. Reopen it to run new variations, adjust inputs, or build on a previous creative direction without starting over.

How it works

1. Open Chat and describe the creative

Select your team and brand, then choose New Chat. Describe the ad format (image or video), the product, the target audience, the key message, and the intended placement or size. Attach a product image or reference if useful.

2. Review the proposed flow

Chat responds with a flow card. Open the card to see the Flow Preview, which shows the planned generation steps. Ask Chat to adjust the concept, format, or copy before proceeding.

3. Run the flow and inspect outputs

Confirm the flow to start generation. When outputs are ready, open each result's preview in Chat to inspect it. Generating a flow is not the same as completing generation; follow the flow's own review and generation controls.

4. Revise or expand in Chat

Reply to the same conversation with specific revision requests such as changing the offer, shortening the headline, or generating additional options with the same visual direction.

5. Continue editing in Flow Editor or Projects

Save the flow to Projects and open it in Flow Editor on desktop to edit the pipeline more precisely. Use Projects to reopen any editable source; use Creations to find and download generated media files.

Example request

Create three square image ads for this product aimed at first-time buyers. Use the attached product photo and highlight the introductory offer.

Hypothetical example: product launch image ad

Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result

A user types: 'Create three square image ads for this skincare serum, aimed at first-time buyers. Use the attached product photo and highlight the introductory offer.' They attach a product image and select their brand.

Chat returns a flow card. The user opens the Flow Preview, sees three planned image variations with placeholder headlines referencing the introductory offer, and asks Chat to make one variation focus on ingredients instead.

After confirming the revised flow, generation runs. The user opens each preview in Chat, finds the outputs in Creations under Source: Generated, and downloads the two preferred versions. The flow is saved in Projects for reuse.

Before you start

Flow Editor and Projects are only available on desktop; mobile users can review results in Chat but must continue editing on a computer.

No ad account connection is required for creative generation, but connecting accounts unlocks additional capabilities such as campaign setup and performance-aware creative decisions.

Generating a flow card in Chat is not the same as completing generation; you must follow the flow's own generation controls to produce outputs.

Generated outputs should be reviewed before downloading or using them; Playad does not auto-approve or auto-publish creatives.

A downloaded or imported file does not automatically have an editable project; use Creations to find media and Projects to find editable sources separately.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to connect an ad account to generate creatives?

No. You can use Playad for creative generation without connecting an ad account. Connecting accounts is recommended because it unlocks additional capabilities such as campaign setup support and performance-aware creative decisions, but it is not required to start.

Where do I find the images or videos after generation?

Generated media is stored in Creations under the same team and brand you used in Chat. Open Creations, set Source to Generated, and use the Type filter to narrow results to Image or Video. If a result is missing, clear other filters and check the original Chat conversation for generation progress.

Can I edit a generated creative after it is produced?

Yes. If the creative has an associated editable project, its preview in Creations offers Open in editor. You can also save the flow to Projects and reopen it in Flow Editor on desktop to adjust the generation pipeline. On mobile, the Open in editor action explains how to continue on a computer.

What is the difference between a flow card in Chat and a project in Projects?

A flow card in Chat represents the proposed generation pipeline for a specific conversation. Saving it creates a Flow project in Projects, which is a reusable pipeline you can reopen, edit in Flow Editor, and run again with different inputs. Projects holds the editable source; Creations holds the generated media files.

Can I generate multiple creative variations in one request?

Yes. When describing the ad in Chat, you can ask for multiple options, for example three image variations with different headlines. Review the flow card to confirm the planned variations before running generation.

“We went from 20 hours a week making ads to one, and our ROAS still climbed from 1.5 to 2.34. Playad just does the work better than we did.”
