Playad brings ad performance data from connected accounts into a single dashboard so you can review headline metrics, compare reporting periods, and inspect campaigns, ad groups, and individual creatives without switching between platforms. The workflow runs through three connected areas: Connections establishes the data source and sync range, Ad Monitor surfaces reported campaign results, and Creative Performance shows how individual creatives are delivering inside those campaigns.

What you can do

Unified headline metrics

Ad Monitor's Live Overview dashboard shows spend, conversions, and ROAS for the selected brand and period in one place, pulling results from every connected ad account so you can read overall performance before drilling into platform or campaign detail.

Platform-by-platform breakdown

Platform cards in Ad Monitor separate results by connected source so you can compare delivery and efficiency across accounts without leaving the dashboard. The metrics shown depend on which platforms are connected and what data has finished syncing.

Period comparison controls

Date and comparison controls in Ad Monitor let you set the reporting window and compare it against a previous period, helping you identify trends in spend, result volume, and efficiency over the same reporting dates.

Campaign and ad detail inspection

Clicking an entity name inside a campaign insight opens a detail panel where you can inspect that campaign, ad group, or ad and navigate to related entities. The Campaigns section lists only currently running campaigns; paused or finished campaigns are excluded from the table but their results still count in headline metrics.

Creative-level performance review

Creative Performance shows every creative from connected accounts with status labels such as Winner, Fatigued, or Testing. Opening a creative reveals its connected ads and delivery context so you can assess whether to scale or refresh before making a change.

Column customisation for campaign tables

The campaign table in Ad Monitor opens with spend, result, and efficiency columns. Use Manage Columns to add reach, link clicks, video views, or other available metrics to suit the analysis you need.

How it works

1. Connect your ad account and set a sync range

Open Connections, select the correct team and brand, choose your ad account provider under Ad Accounts, and complete the authorization steps. Then complete Start Initial Sync by selecting the historical date range you need. Daily sync schedule setup follows. Data will not appear in Ad Monitor until the initial sync finishes.

2. Open Ad Monitor and set your reporting period

Select the team and brand, then open Ad Monitor from the main navigation. Check the freshness indicators to confirm platform data is current, then use the date and comparison controls to choose the period you want to review.

3. Read headline metrics and platform cards

Review overall spend, conversions, and ROAS in the headline section first. Then scan the platform cards to see how results break down by connected account. A missing metric does not mean its value is zero; check whether that platform's data has finished syncing.

4. Inspect campaign and ad group detail

Open the Campaigns section to see currently running campaigns. Use Manage Columns to add the metrics relevant to your review. Click a campaign insight entity name to open the detail panel and navigate to related ad groups or ads.

5. Review creative performance

Open Creative Performance after confirming the account is connected and synced. Use status, platform, or analysis-label filters to narrow the list. Open a creative to see its connected ads and delivery context. Check the reporting period before deciding to scale or refresh.

Example request

Show me spend, ROAS, and top campaigns for the last 30 days compared to the previous period across all connected accounts.

Hypothetical example: reviewing a multi-platform campaign period

Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result

Input: A brand has Meta Ads and Google Ads accounts connected with an initial sync covering the past 90 days. The user opens Ad Monitor, sets a 30-day reporting window, and enables a prior-period comparison.

Review: The Live Overview dashboard shows headline spend and ROAS for both platforms in one view. Platform cards display each account separately. The user opens a campaign insight, clicks through to an ad group detail panel, then opens Creative Performance to check which creatives carry a Fatigued label within that campaign before deciding whether to request a refresh.

Before you start

Ad performance data only appears after Connections setup is complete, an initial sync has been run, and the sync has finished for the chosen date range.

The Campaigns table lists only currently running campaigns. Paused, ended, or removed campaigns are excluded from the table but their spend and results are included in headline metrics and platform cards.

Metrics and platform cards shown in Ad Monitor depend on which platforms are connected and what data is available; not every metric is present for every connection.

Creative Performance shows creatives from connected ad accounts. A file stored in Creations does not automatically appear in Creative Performance; the view depends on synced advertising data.

Analytics and MMP connections do not replace an ad account connection for campaign data; both must be set up separately if both data types are needed.

A connection alone does not confirm that historical data has finished syncing. Check the sync state in Connections before expecting all reporting rows to be present.

Frequently asked questions

Why are some campaigns missing from the Campaigns table in Ad Monitor?

The Campaigns section lists only campaigns that are currently running. Campaigns that are paused, past their end date, or removed do not appear in the table. Their results are still counted in the headline metrics and platform cards for any dates when they spent.

Why is there no data in Ad Monitor after I connected my account?

Connecting an account and completing a data sync are separate steps. After authorization, you must complete Start Initial Sync in Connections and select a historical date range. Initial sync can take time, and an empty performance view does not by itself mean authorization failed. Check the sync state in Connections and ensure your selected reporting dates overlap the synced range.

What is the difference between Ad Monitor and Creative Performance?

Ad Monitor provides the campaign-level view: headline metrics, platform cards, campaign insights, and period comparisons. Creative Performance focuses on the individual creatives used inside connected ads, showing status labels, connected ad relationships, and delivery context for each creative.

Can I compare performance across two time periods?

Yes. Ad Monitor includes date and comparison controls that let you set the primary reporting window and compare it to a previous period. The comparison applies to spend, result volume, and efficiency metrics across the same reporting dates.

What does a Fatigued or Winner label on a creative mean?

Labels such as Winner, Fatigued, or Testing in Creative Performance help you navigate available analysis for each creative. Playad advises checking the underlying data and the reporting period the label is based on before deciding to scale or refresh an ad.

“We went from 20 hours a week making ads to one, and our ROAS still climbed from 1.5 to 2.34. Playad just does the work better than we did.”
