A product demo should show what someone does with the item, not just give it an attractive opening shot. Use Playad Chat to describe the task you want to demonstrate, attach authentic product references and separate the actions into clear scenes. Review prepared images, spoken lines and the storyboard before final video production. This workflow is useful when a small team needs to explain a lid, a control or a simple product routine without losing track of how the real item works.

What you can do

Plan around one observable action

Choose one task the viewer should understand, such as opening a lid and refilling a bottle. Name the starting state, the action and the visible result. A broad request to “show all the features” makes it harder to verify a demonstration. Keep secondary benefits in supporting copy unless they need their own shot.

Ground the product in real references

Supply images that reveal the parts involved in the action. A front product shot may establish the label but fail to show the cap mechanism. Ask for another authentic angle when essential detail is missing. Playad can use these references in scene preparation; they guide generation rather than proving the resulting movement is mechanically correct.

Review before committing to the film

Inspect the prepared storyboard for scene coverage, camera framing, dialogue and visible copy. A still of someone holding the product is not a demonstration of using it. Make that distinction during preparation, then check the actual motion after production. These two review stages answer different questions.

Revise the part that needs attention

Identify the particular scene and defect in a follow-up: the cap turns the wrong way, a hand covers the opening, or a step is missing. Ask to keep accepted product references and unaffected direction. The required rerun can include dependent scenes or a shared production unit; inspect the revised result before treating the issue as resolved.

How it works

1. Define the demonstration in Chat

Select the correct brand and start New Chat. State the product, audience, intended placement and the one action to explain. Include the actual product references and distinguish verified facts from wording you still need to approve. Say whether you want a plan first or are ready to prepare a storyboard.

2. Check reference coverage

Make sure the supplied assets show the product states needed for the demonstration. Ask Chat to identify missing visual information instead of inventing a hidden mechanism. For a software walkthrough, provide the relevant authentic screens and specify the visible sequence; generated scenes must not introduce controls the service does not have.

3. Review the storyboard

Open the prepared storyboard and check the sequence from start to finish. Match each action with the correct reference and read any dialogue or on-screen wording. Resolve a scene that only implies the action. Approve the prepared version through the controls provided before continuing to final production.

4. Watch the actual actions

When production returns media, play it at normal speed. Check hand-to-product contact, object count, mechanism movement and the final state. Listen for any line that overstates what the product does. A successful generation or an attractive thumbnail does not establish a faithful demonstration.

5. Keep the reviewed output

Find completed media in Creations for the selected brand. Use the original conversation for corrections and Projects on desktop for associated editable work. Download the version you actually reviewed, then check its dimensions and duration against the intended placement. Keep an explanatory product demo separate from campaign launch decisions.

Example request

Plan a product demo for our refillable bottle using these real photos. Show opening, refilling and closing. Keep the actual lid and label accurate. Let me review the storyboard before final video production.

Worked example: a refillable bottle lid

Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result

Input: A hypothetical bottle brand supplies a front image, an open-lid image and a clear view of the opening. The desired explanation is simply how to open, refill and close the bottle.

Plan: Show the bottle closed, show the real opening action, then show it refilled and closed. Use the approved spoken line “Open, refill, and keep it close.” Do not add unverified claims about leak resistance or temperature.

Preparation review: Confirm that an opening scene actually covers the lid action and that the product label matches the source. Ask for a missing angle rather than accepting a generic bottle as a substitute.

Final review: Watch for changing lid geometry, an impossible hand movement or an extra bottle. The example describes a review method, not a completed generated film or a measured campaign result.

Before you start

Reference images guide appearance; generated motion still needs inspection against the real product.

A storyboard preview verifies planned coverage, not the final movement, spoken words or duration.

Use Projects and associated editors on desktop. Completed media is available separately in Creations.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a product showcase?

A showcase can emphasize appearance and atmosphere. A demo explains an action or sequence. Give the starting state, required action and visible result so the storyboard and final video can be assessed against something concrete.

Can I begin with only one product photo?

You can begin there, but the photo may not establish hidden parts or intermediate states. Review what it actually shows and supply another real reference when needed. Treat invented mechanisms as defects, not as acceptable creative interpretation.

Can I change one step after the storyboard is approved?

Request the specific revision in the original conversation and review the updated plan where needed. A change can affect timing or dependent scenes, so check the scope before rerunning and inspect the actual replacement output.
