AI Video Ad Generator
Describe your product and placement in Chat, review the generated video flow, and refine it in Flow Editor or Projects on desktop.
Trusted by 6,000+ marketers & founders
Playad lets you create video ads by describing your product, audience, and placement in Chat. The assistant proposes a generation flow, which you can review, adjust, and run. Finished videos appear in Creations; editable pipeline projects are saved in Projects on desktop.
What you can do
Chat-based video brief
Start a new chat, describe the video ad you want — product, audience, message, placement, and size — and attach a product image or reference when useful. The assistant proposes a generation flow based on your inputs.
Flow preview before generation
Before running generation, open the flow card in Chat to review the Flow Preview. You can ask Chat to adjust the concept or flow steps before committing to generation.
Flow Editor and Projects for refinement
Save the flow to Projects and open it in Flow Editor on desktop to inspect and edit the generation pipeline. Projects is only available on desktop.
Frame and motion control
The video generation pipeline supports starting frames, ending frames (where the selected model allows), subject motion, camera behavior, and audio settings. Silent or native-dialogue audio routes are configured in the flow.
Multiple placement sizes
Specify the placement or aspect ratio — such as vertical story, square, or landscape — in your Chat request. The flow is configured for the target size before generation runs.
Iterative revision in Chat
After reviewing a generated video in Chat or Creations, refer to the specific result and describe the change you want. Examples: shorten the headline, adjust motion pace, or generate alternative options with the same direction.
How it works
1. Open Chat and describe the video ad
Select your team and brand, then choose New Chat. Write a specific request: include whether you want a video, the product, intended audience, key message, and placement or size. Attach a product image if you have one.
2. Review the proposed flow
When Chat proposes a flow, open its flow card to inspect the Flow Preview. Check that the concept, motion, audio setting, and size match your intent. Ask Chat to adjust anything before proceeding.
3. Run generation and review the output
Follow the flow's review and generation controls. Creating a flow is not the same as completing generation. Once generation finishes, open the result preview in Chat or find the video in Creations under the same brand.
4. Refine in Flow Editor or Projects
Save the project to Projects using the available save action in Chat. On desktop, open the project in Flow Editor to edit the pipeline. Projects is only available on desktop; on mobile, Chat explains how to continue on a computer.
5. Revise or generate variants
Return to Chat and reference the specific result to request changes — adjusted pacing, a different offer, or additional variants. Review each new result before downloading or using it.
Using Playad: product screens
Example request
Create a 15-second vertical video ad for a reusable water bottle, targeting outdoor enthusiasts. Emphasize durability and portability. Use the attached product photo as the starting frame.
Hypothetical example: skincare product video ad
Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result
Input (hypothetical): A user types 'Create a 15-second vertical video ad for a new SPF moisturizer, targeting adults aged 25–40, highlighting daily protection. Use the attached product photo.' They attach a product image and set Thinking to Quick.
Review (hypothetical): Chat proposes a flow with a starting frame drawn from the product photo, planned subject motion showing the product being applied, native dialogue disabled, and a vertical aspect ratio for story placements. The user opens the Flow Preview, finds the concept matches their brief, and proceeds to generation. The finished video appears in Creations.
Before you start
Projects and Flow Editor are only available on desktop; mobile users can start in Chat but must continue editing on a computer.
Ending-frame support and additional image input slots depend on the specific video generation model selected in the flow; not every model supports all input types.
Audio options are limited to the routes supported by the selected model — silent generation or native dialogue where the model allows; unsupported audio configurations cannot be applied.
Generating a flow is a separate step from completing generation; you must follow the flow's review and generation controls to produce a video file.
Generated videos should be reviewed before downloading or using them; Playad does not guarantee that every output meets the original brief without revision.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my generated video after the flow runs?
Generated videos appear in the original Chat conversation and in Creations for the same brand. Open a result's preview for navigation and download controls.
Can I edit the video generation pipeline after Chat creates it?
Yes. Save the flow to Projects using the save action in Chat, then open it in Flow Editor on desktop to inspect and edit the pipeline. Projects is only available on desktop.
Do I need to start in Chat, or can I open Projects directly?
Chat is the recommended starting point for new video ads. If you already have a generated video in Creations, open its preview and use Open in editor when that action is available.
What inputs does the video flow use?
The flow uses your text description and, when provided, a product image as a starting frame. The specific model in the flow determines whether ending frames, additional image slots, or audio options are supported.
Can I create video ads in multiple aspect ratios?
Yes. Specify the placement or aspect ratio — such as vertical, square, or landscape — in your Chat request. The flow is configured for that size before generation runs.
How do I request changes to a generated video?
Return to Chat, refer to the specific result, and describe the change you want — for example, 'Adjust the motion to be slower' or 'Generate three options with the same product shot.' Review each new result before using it.
