Playad lets you create product videos by describing your product and goal in Chat. The assistant proposes a video flow, you review it, and generation runs from there. No video production experience is required — you supply the product details and inputs, and Playad handles the creative plan and model execution.

What you can do

Chat-based video creation

Start in Chat by describing the product, audience, message, and video size or placement. The assistant builds a video flow plan from your description and lets you review it before generation begins.

Product image as a starting frame

Attach a product photo to anchor the video's opening composition. The selected image sets the appearance, lighting, and subject state that the generated motion begins from.

Motion and camera control through text

Describe how the product should move, how the camera should behave, and where the scene should end. The assistant translates those directions into model-specific video prompts using supported motion guidance.

Multiple model support

Playad routes generation through VEO, Kling, or Grok depending on your plan and the selected flow. Each model has its own supported durations, aspect ratios, and input slots resolved before generation starts.

Flow review before generation

Before any video is generated, Chat surfaces a Flow Preview card. You can inspect the proposed steps, ask for adjustments, and confirm the plan — creating a flow is a separate action from completing generation.

Revise and iterate in the same conversation

After reviewing a result, describe the change you want in the same Chat thread. Ask for a different motion direction, a revised headline, or a new aspect ratio without starting over.

How it works

1. Open Chat and select your brand

Choose New Chat in the sidebar. Confirm the correct team and brand are selected so the assistant works in that brand's context.

2. Describe your product video request

Type a specific request that includes the product, your audience, the key message, and the desired placement or aspect ratio. Attach a product photo when you want it used as the opening frame.

3. Answer any clarifying questions

The assistant may ask about missing inputs such as video length, motion style, or audio preference. Answer these before the flow is proposed so the plan is accurate.

4. Review the Flow Preview

Open the flow card in Chat to inspect the proposed steps. Check the model, duration, frame inputs, and audio decision. Ask Chat to adjust anything before you continue.

5. Run generation and review the output

Approve or confirm the flow to start generation. When the result is ready, open the preview in Chat or find it in Creations. Review the video before downloading or using it.

6. Save and continue editing

Use the available save action to keep the work in Projects. Reopen it in Flow Editor on desktop to make further changes or to produce additional sizes.

Example request

Create a 6-second vertical video ad for this product showing a slow zoom in, aimed at shoppers new to the brand. Use the attached product photo as the opening frame and keep it silent.

Hypothetical example: skincare product video

Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result

Input: A user types 'Create a 5-second square video ad for this moisturizer, aimed at first-time buyers, showing the bottle with a slow upward camera move. Attach product photo.' The assistant proposes a flow using the photo as a starting frame with the described camera motion.

Review: The Flow Preview card shows the selected model, a 5-second duration, square aspect ratio, the attached photo as the opening frame, and no audio. The user confirms the plan, generation runs, and the result appears in the Chat thread and in Creations for that brand.

Before you start

Available inputs, including ending frames, source video and audio, depend on the model selected for the video.

Text-led generation (no starting image) is available but works best when a product photo is attached to anchor appearance and composition.

Seamless frame chaining between scenes is supported only when the selected model accepts a starting frame and the plan calls for it — ordinary cuts do not require chaining.

Audio support depends on the selected model and workflow. State whether you need a silent video, a speaking presenter or separate narration in your brief; a format label does not automatically add speech or music.

Flow Editor continuation requires a desktop browser. The mobile view can explain next steps but does not support all editing actions.

Generated results must be reviewed before use. Generation completing does not mean the output is ready to publish without inspection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to upload a product photo to generate a product video?

A product photo is recommended because it sets the opening appearance, composition, and subject state the video motion starts from. Text-led generation without a photo is supported on some models but is best reserved for cases where a reference image is genuinely unavailable.

Which AI video models does Playad use?

Playad routes generation through VEO, Kling, or Grok depending on your plan and the selected flow. The assistant resolves the model, supported aspect ratios, durations, and input slots before writing the video prompt, so you do not need to configure models manually.

Can I control how the product moves in the video?

Yes. Describe the subject action, camera behavior, movement direction, and pace in your Chat request. The assistant translates those directions into model-specific motion guidance. Avoid vague terms like 'cinematic' alone — specific direction and pace produce more accurate results.

Where do I find my generated product videos?

Generated videos appear in the Chat thread where you requested them and in Creations for the same brand. Use Projects to reopen an associated editable project when one exists.

Can I add audio or voiceover to the product video?

Audio options depend on the selected model and plan. The flow can include silent output, native dialogue using planned speech, or a separate audio track. The assistant applies the audio decision before generation; speech or music are not added automatically from the video format.

How is reviewing a flow different from completing generation?

Creating a flow is a separate action from running generation. When Chat proposes a flow, open the Flow Preview card to inspect the steps and confirm the plan. Generation only starts after you continue past that review point.

“We went from 20 hours a week making ads to one, and our ROAS still climbed from 1.5 to 2.34. Playad just does the work better than we did.”
