Playad lets you generate image ads by describing your product, audience, placement, and message in Chat. The assistant proposes a Flow — a reusable generation pipeline — which you review, adjust, and run to produce finished image creatives. Outputs are saved automatically and accessible in Creations, while the editable pipeline stays in Projects.

What you can do

Describe and generate image ads in Chat

Type a specific request in Chat — product, audience, message, and placement — and the assistant proposes a Flow for generating one or more image ad concepts. You can attach a product photo or reference image to anchor the creative.

Review and adjust before generating

Chat shows a Flow Preview card before any generation runs. You can ask for concept changes, adjust the headline, or request different sizes before committing to a generation run.

Multiple sizes from one hero image

Once a hero image passes review, the Flow can connect it to resize nodes to produce additional placements and aspect ratios. Essential copy, logo, and product are preserved across sizes.

Edit generated images without starting over

After generation, you can request targeted edits — such as changing visible copy, swapping a logo, or adjusting composition — through a follow-up message. The Flow keeps the original source node intact and applies changes through an edit node.

Reopen and refine in Flow Editor and Projects

Flows created in Chat are saved as Projects on desktop. Open a Flow project in the Flow Editor to inspect the pipeline, adjust nodes, rerun generation, or build size variants manually.

Ad copy attached to each Creation

Each generated image ad can carry platform ad copy — headline, body, and value proposition — matched to the target network's character limits. Copy is attached to the Creation so it travels with the image file.

How it works

1. Start a new Chat and describe your image ad

Select your team and brand, then choose New Chat in the sidebar. Write a specific request: include whether you want an image ad, the product, target audience, key message, and preferred size or placement. Attach a product photo if you have one.

2. Review the proposed Flow before generating

Chat responds with a Flow card. Open the Flow Preview to inspect the planned pipeline — concepts, copy, and output nodes — before any generation runs. Ask Chat to adjust the concept, headline, or number of variations at this stage.

3. Run the Flow and inspect outputs

When the Flow looks right, confirm generation. The assistant runs the Flow and returns the image results in Chat. Open each result's preview to inspect it against your brief and product reference before using or downloading it.

4. Request edits or size variants

If an output needs a change, describe it specifically — for example, 'Shorten the headline and keep the product image.' For additional sizes, ask Chat to produce variants at the placements you need. Each is a separate deliverable Creation.

5. Find outputs in Creations and the editable pipeline in Projects

Generated image ads are saved automatically in Creations under the same brand. The editable Flow pipeline is saved in Projects on desktop. Open the project card to rerun, modify, or extend the pipeline later.

Example request

Create three square image ads for this product, aimed at first-time buyers. Use the attached product photo and highlight the introductory offer. Keep the tone clean and direct.

Hypothetical example — skincare product launch

Illustrative example — not a product screenshot or customer result

Input: A user types in Chat: 'Create three square image ads for this moisturizer, targeting first-time buyers aged 25–35. Use the attached product photo and highlight the introductory offer. Brand voice is clean and reassuring.' They attach a product image.

Flow review: Chat proposes a Flow with three concept nodes, each with distinct headline copy and a shared product-image source node. The user opens the Flow Preview, asks to make the first concept's headline shorter, and confirms generation.

Output review: The assistant returns three 1:1 image ad drafts in Chat. The user opens each preview, confirms the product photo and offer text are correctly placed, and finds all three saved in Creations. The editable Flow is available in Projects for reuse.

Before you start

Projects and the Flow Editor are only available on desktop. Mobile users can start work in Chat but must switch to a computer to edit Flow projects directly.

Automatic adaptation to strip-banner formats above a 3:1 ratio is noted as unreliable; this limitation should be reviewed before using those placements.

Starting a Flow in Chat is not the same as completing generation. You must review the Flow Preview and confirm the run before outputs are produced.

Resolving a logo or product asset requires a verified asset on file for the brand. If an essential asset cannot be matched, you will be asked to supply one before generation proceeds.

Ad copy character limits depend on the target network. Full-width scripts such as Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai count as two characters per character unit against those caps.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I start to generate an image ad?

Start in Chat. Select your team and brand, choose New Chat, and describe the image ad you want. Chat proposes a Flow, which you review before any generation runs. You do not need to open the Flow Editor or Projects to begin.

Can I use my own product photo in the generated ad?

Yes. Attach a product image when you write your request in Chat. The assistant uses the uploaded photo as a source node in the Flow, preserving the product's shape, packaging, and identity while adapting composition and copy.

How do I get multiple ad sizes from one image?

After a hero image is generated and reviewed, ask Chat to produce size variants at the placements you need. The Flow connects the accepted hero to resize nodes. Each size is saved as a separate Creation.

Where do my finished image ads go?

Generated image ads are saved automatically in Creations under the current brand. The editable Flow pipeline is saved in Projects on desktop. Creations holds the media files; Projects holds the source pipeline you can reopen and rerun.

Can I edit a generated image ad without regenerating it from scratch?

Yes. Describe the specific change you want in Chat — for example, adjusting visible copy or composition — and the assistant applies the edit through a new node connected to the original source, preserving the parts you want to keep.

Does the image ad include ad copy for platforms like Meta or Google?

Yes. The assistant writes headline and body copy matched to the target network's character limits and attaches it to each Creation. You specify the platform in your request or when reviewing the Flow, and the copy is stored with the image file.

“We went from 20 hours a week making ads to one, and our ROAS still climbed from 1.5 to 2.34. Playad just does the work better than we did.”
